Rooftop Retreat / Walk To Park & Breweries | House in Denver

2 Bedroom House in Jefferson Park, Denver
Summary:
Live vertically in a fantastic four-level townhouse! This is a stunning home base that’s walking distance from Empower Field at Mile High, Downtown Aquarium, Briar Common Brewery, 2914 Coffee and Jefferson Park. Enjoy garage parking, get your 40 winks in two bedrooms, and spread out in the welcoming living space with a huge L-shaped sofa. Chef-inspired kitchen, fast WIFI, and a rooftop deck are just some of the cherries on this scrumptious sundae. And the mountains are less than an hour away!
The Space:
Welcome to a downright dreamy townhome with a swanky rooftop deck, hardwood floors, views, walkability, and convenience. Four levels of hand-designed perfection await you, so let’s look around! The first level houses a half bathroom and dedicated work desk located away from the bustle of the main living area. Ascend the first flight of stairs to find the kitchen, dining area and living room. Words can’t do justice to the good-vibes feeling of this amazing space – check out the photos to really get excited about staying here!
Whether you’re traveling solo, road tripping with your honey, exploring in the company of friends or remote working with colleagues, we’re confident that everyone will find something to enjoy on this level. An expansive L-shaped sofa is complemented by a comfy armchair and a coffee table, perfect for takeout and conversation. Stream your favorite content on the mounted 65-inch Samsung Smart TV. Or recharge your chill batteries under the windows with a good book.
The living room flows through to an open kitchen and dining area with design flourishes galore. Gleaming new appliances and plenty of counter space make for easy meals. Or if you prefer to tempt your taste buds elsewhere, we recommend 2914 Coffee for java and tasty treats, Briar Commons Brewery for microbrews and good eats, or El Cazo for the best happy hour margaritas and tacos in the neighborhood.
Even the most seasoned travelers and adventure junkies need their rest, so let’s head up to Level 3 to check out the sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en suite dual-sink bathroom with luxurious shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The second full bathroom includes a tub/shower combo and is tastefully designed with a touch of whimsy.
Finally, the fourth floor is home to a spacious rooftop deck with an al fresco dining table and inviting lounge area. Take in views of Downtown Denver and Empower Field at Mile High while sipping coffee or a cocktail. As plush as the rest of the house is, the rooftop is one of our favorite things about it. And when you manage to tear yourself away from the gorgeous views, the City Of Denver and the Rocky Mountains are just outside your door.
Everything you’ve heard about The Mile High City is true! The booming metro area has something for every kind of traveler. Soak in Western history at a museum, revel in cutting-edge culture at Meow Wolf, tempt your tastebuds at chic local restaurants and mind-blowing microbreweries, enjoy parks and greenways throughout the city, bag a 14er and a National Park, or ski at world-class resorts. This is the place to explore, play or even – iif you must – get some work done on a business trip or flexcation. We’re looking forward to hosting you!

The Neighborhood:
Jefferson Park
Jefferson Park is a fantastic neighborhood located just west of Downtown. There are many excellent attractions within walking distance, including:
- Downtown Aquarium – 10 Minutes
- Empower Field at Mile High – 6 Minutes
- Meow Wolf – 20 Minutes
- Elitch Gardens – 25 Minutes
- Children’s Museum of Denver – 15 Minutes
In the immediate vicinity of the home, you will love mingling with locals at Briar Commons Brewery, Little Machine Beer, 2914 Coffee, El Cazo Cocina and Jefferson Park. And don’t forget that Downtown, the RiNo Arts District, LoHi and the Rocky Mountain foothills are all within easy reach.
Once you’re Downtown, get oriented at Union Station, which has been reimagined as a cultural hub with cafes, art and shopping. From Union Station, Coors Field is within walking distance to the North, while Ball Arena (Nuggets and Avalanche) is to the South. Trendy Larimer Street is also nearby. You can catch a light rail train at Union Station to get to Empower Field at Mile High. The 16th Street Mall offers a free shuttle, which is the best way to get to the Denver Performing Arts Center as well as the State Capitol and Denver Mint.
Further East, it’s a short Uber ride to City Park, Denver Zoo, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the Botanical Gardens, and other attractions. The new Meow Wolf art experience is also worth checking out, as are the Denver Aquarium and Elitch Gardens. All three are near Empower Field and the REI Flagship store.
Here for a concert? Red Rocks is a mere 20 minutes away by car. You may want to check out this area regardless of your itinerary – it’s a unique place, and its gateway town of Morrison is charming. Link up an easygoing riverside hike at Lair O’ The Bear or an afternoon paddleboarding or skating in Evergreen to really make a day of it. Further south, you’ll find Roxborough State Park (40 minutes) for more hiking trails. One of Colorado’s main draws is Rocky Mountain National Park, which makes for a great day trip. Drive 1.5 hours through a dramatic canyon for a day of hiking, sightseeing and wildlife viewing.
Depending on your destination, skiing is 1-3 hours away. Locals head to Echo Mountain, Eldora (near Boulder) or Loveland (near Georgetown) for a more low-key experience, but we’re also within a few hours of Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and other snowy delights. There is a Nordic center near Breck if you want to try out cross-country skiing, and the summer months are a great time to rent a kayak to explore Dillon Reservoir.
In short, this is the perfect jumping-off point for exploring the best of Denver and the Rockies! It’s impossible to see everything in one visit, so we look forward to hosting you again after you fall in love with Mile High Life!
Getting Around:
This is a walkable neighborhood, and getting around is even easier if you snag one of the rental bikes scattered around town. Walk East on 23rd to get to Downtown Aquarium, the Children’s Museum of Denver and the REI Denver flagship store. If you keep heading East you will eventually get Downtown. Lower Downtown (LoDo) and the River North (RiNo) Arts District are both great choices for strolling, sipping microbrews and checking out the culinary scene.
If you drive Downtown, we recommend giving yourself some extra time to find parking. City Park and its attractions – Denver Zoo, Museum of Nature & Science, etc. – offer free parking, as does the Denver Botanical Garden on York Street. The Botanical Garden also has a location at Chatfield Farms, a short drive away, which offers festive fun during the fall and winter seasons.
Driving is also the best way to explore the mountains, although there are also some ski shuttle companies in the area. We strongly advise against relying on Lyft and Uber in the mountains! However, both services are readily available in the Denver Metro area. If you are hanging around town, a combination of ride shares and light rail will probably get you where you need to go.
Other Things to Note:
This is a non-smoking, non-vaping home! We appreciate that some of our guests may wish to indulge in some of Colorado’s herbal offerings, but this is not the place! An odor fee will be added to your reservation if this policy is violated. Thank you in advance for your compliance.
Amenities include self check-in, a fully stocked kitchen, coffee, fast WiFi and Smart TV with streaming services.
