This bright and open contemporary vacation rental home was custom-designed and built by the architect owner. The care and skill is reflected in the soaring ceilings, multitudes of windows and skylights, and warm pine floors, all of which bring the outside in -- yet all is kept cool with central air conditioning.
Enter the house through the sweet and shady farmer's porch (complete with requisite chaise and table) and into the foyer which flows into the open living dining and kitchen. This is the perfect place for all to gather while enjoying your activity of choice. You can cook in the fully applianced kitchen with a gas range, have a snack in the bright dining area, or watch a movie on Netflix on the Smart TV in the comfy living room.
Two sets of sliding glass doors take you to the large wraparound deck perfect for grilling and dining al fresco. Completing this floor is a queen bedroom, a full bath with a shower, and full sized separate laundry room. Upstairs are two more spacious bedrooms: the master king (with its own small deck) and a twin bedroom (with two extra single mattresses for the occasional sleepover) and another full bath. An added bonus is the (separate-if-you-want) in-law suite on the lower level with its own entrance, living/dining (complete with a double pullout sofa) and queen sleeping area and simple basic kitchen, as well as a full bath.The suite may also be accessed from an internal stairway.
A short drive from Route 128, Sea Fox house is the perfect starting point for day trips to the seafood restaurants in the port of Gloucester, the art galleries and shops of Rockport, the picturesque village of Manchester-by-the-Sea or the antiques of Essex, and of course to Boston in less than an hour. The best of all worlds, plus the beach, are here at Sea Fox House. Enjoy your access to the pristine and private Coffins Beach when renting the Sea Fox House, just a half mile walk away, or take a short drive to public Wingaersheek Beach, which is also nearby.
