Our quiet street gives ideal serenity while also being walking distance from the Lodge/Rec Center/Z Market - and only a few miles from many attractions. 6 miles to historic Truckee, 15 miles to Palisades.
King bed, large TV, large soaking tub/shower, coffee maker, mini-fridge, small microwave, hot water kettle on request, window bench, small foldable table and folding chairs for dining.

The Tahoe area can get very HOT in the summer. We have A/C and most homes here do not have any cooling. A/C can make your vacation a LOT more comfortable.
Note: Hot tub was acting up a little bit but working now so please inquire as to its availability.
We have gorgeous daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths probably to the end of June (we planted about 2000 bulbs).
There is no thermostat in the room itself so owner relies on you to give feedback about whether it's too hot or cold for you. Let us know anytime so we can adjust the temperature remotely for you.
We do not offer any amenities that are not specified, e.g NO laundry. There are laundromats in Truckee.

It's a short walk 3/4 of a mile to Z Marketplace convenience store for cappuccino and pastry in the morning. Later in the day, you can walk to The Lodge restaurant for their excellent bar and restaurant (usually open Wed. through Sun.). Just down Northwoods is Pizza on the Hill. Alder Creek Cafe is also nearby. We are also only about 3 miles from many coffee shops and restaurants in Truckee, and about 6 miles from historic Truckee.
In spring and summer, our secret gardens are a work in progress to bring beautiful flowers to terraced rock gardens around the property. We have planted thousands of bulbs for a beautiful show in spring. Our new plantings also offer autumn color.
In winter, the secret gardens are buried in snow. The view transforms into magical snowy forests.
Post-booking requirements in house rules - including $499 security deposit paid immediately after booking - must be done timely or reservation will be canceled without any refund and room offered to other guests.

- We can accommodate 1 additional car for an added $70 fee collected after booking.
- Hot tub / access optional add-on - $299 fee+tax collected after booking. Please check availability.
- 1 pet if not included at time of booking can be added on for $199+tax fee collected after booking
- 2 Tahoe Donner guest cards to access and/or get discounts the resort amenities for $30+tax (must let us know in advance if you wish to use these to give time for activation)
Guest access is by keypad on the back door of the house. Code is given at checkin time on checkin day. Please do not arrive early unless agreed and paid ahead of time for early checkin.

Right now there's a coffee maker, mini-fridge, and microwave in the room with hot water kettle on request. NO kitchen access. The fridge is not silent so if you're sensitive to that kind of noise, you may leave it empty and unplug it.

As noted in the title and photos, this is a master suite in a larger home. It is locked off from the rest of the house with private entrance. There are no shared indoor spaces but sometimes share driveway and other outdoor spaces with other people (usually only the owner, who is generally very quiet). If you reserve the hot tub, you will have exclusive use of it during your stay. However, note that the spa is located IN A SHARED OUTDOOR SPACE WITH NO EXPECTATION OF PRIVACY. The spa is under 24/7 video surveillance with zero tolerance for rule violations. The spa is unfenced and NOT private. The downstairs unit and the neighbors can view the spa. You may see other people in or near the spa area at any time. And if maintenance is needed or spa rules are not followed, the owner may enter the spa area for cleaning, maintenance, or rule enforcement.
