Summary: Immaculately clean and well-maintained cottage directly on the lake with a perfect deck for taking in the sun or enjoying the breeze. The cottage is very much as shown in photos and perfect for a couple or a family with younger children, and Crystal Lake itself, just outside the multiple sets of double doors, is beautiful. The kitchen is nicely outfitted, and there is a good laundry area The cottage is quieter than we expected for being close to the road (as nearly all properties are on Crystal Lake), and also private. Great dock, wonderful outdoor shower, and a sandy lake bottom that extends at a fairly shallow depth for a good distance from shore, making it perfect for wading and swimming. Be aware that Crystal Lake is a big lake and as such, the North side where this property is located can sometimes get windy, as prevailing summer winds are from the South/Southwest (And of course, sometimes, the lake is as smooth as glass.) Fifteen minutes south along the scenic M22 highway to the charming town of Frankfort, or East along the lake to cute and funky Beulah. We loved our stay.
