Only 1.5 hours from the GTA, this cottage rental is only a short drive whether you are looking to stay for a week or a few days. Sunrise Serenade sits on the shore of Lake Couchiching, which is a sandy and shallow lake, known for its great year-round fishing, and is separated from Lake Simcoe by a narrow channel. This cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen, an indoor and outdoor dining set, BBQ, fire pit, Smart TV with unlimited Wi-Fi, and watercraft (2 kayaks), making it perfect for both summer and winter rentals.
Outside the cottage, you will be able to enjoy perfect views of the lake from the deck and adjoining patio. The deck includes a BBQ and a dining set, making it perfect for group meals. Heading to the water, you are greeted to a lakeside firepit with plenty of seating and a hammock for soaking up the sun. The dock is wide and includes an umbrella, making it a great spot for a group to enjoy the day. The water is shallow off the dock, making it easy to enter and exit the water as well as launch the kayaks!
Entering the cottage from the deck, you will be greeted to a large and fully equipped open-concept kitchen with seating around the island and a dining table that can seat 6. Exiting the kitchen / dining area, you will enter a spacious living room area that connects to all 4 bedrooms. The living room includes comfy recliner chairs, perfect for watching a movie on the Smart TV (includes HDMI ports). The master bedroom (king bed) has sweeping views of the waters and connects to the outdoor patio and has sweeping views of the water. The cottage has two three-piece bathrooms, one which is located in the second bedroom and a second which connects to the living room for group use.
Sunrise Serenade is located only 10 minutes from Orillia, making it a quick trip to enjoy a local restaurant or brewery and pick up groceries. Orillia also has lots of fun activities, in both the summer and winter, including the Mariposa Market, the old downtown area, and lots of hiking trails. It is a 30-minute drive from Copeland Forest which has over 75km of trails for hiking, biking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Couchiching Beach Park is one of the most popular attractions in Orillia and is perfect if you're looking to enjoy the beach and has picnic areas, gardens and an incredible boardwalk perfect for a sunset stroll.

Waterfront
Lake Couchiching is a shallow lake with a sandy bottom, making it perfect for wading out far into the water before it gets too deep. The dock includes a stepladder, which makes for easy access to the shallow water. The kayaks can be easily launched from the dock. The lake is a popular spot for fishing in the summer and ice fishing in the winter.
