Positive: The apartment was great, the facilities were fantastic. There was 2 types of coffee machine with appropriate coffee pods to use. The kitchen was fully equipped which was so great, no need for those salt and sugar sachets, everything was there! It is a really quiet location with great views. We stayed there for the Normandy D-day celebrations and is bang smack in the middle making it very convenient if that's the reason for your visit. The host contacted me prior to arrival via what's app and made check in very clear which saved time for us too!
Negative: Due to ferry issues we tried to extend our stay. This proved difficult and eventually I was asked to call the sister company Belvilla. The agent on the phone was particularly rude. He was short tempered, curt and very unhelpful. He said I couldn't book for just one night and didn't understand that I wanted to extend the stay not book a new one. This was a real shame as the person who had contacted me about the stay had been so kind and helpful, they had also stated the apartment was available but the agent refused to let me book. This put a bit of a taint on the stay, not to mention they lost out on business due to rudeness and technicalities. The way I was spoken to was so off putting that even though the apartment was perfect for us I don't want to give the company my business again. If I was the owner I would find a different company to assist. Belvilla will not get my business again, all due to the awful behaviour of 1 member of staff.
