Summary: Older duplex that has been recently rehabbed. Was clean and we did appreciate the little touches such as the keurig machine and the great selection of streaming services for the tv (Netflix, Disney +, etc.). The neighborhood was a middle class residential neighborhood on the north side of Springfield, Dirksen and Sangamon Ave area. The tv in one of the bedrooms did not seem to work, not sure why. The beds were really odd, very low to the ground, not standard beds. An older person would have a hard time getting in and out of them. Marketed as 1 1/2 baths which is true, but the half bath is in the basement and not very convenient. The biggest issue, which was unadvertised, was the train tracks 150 yards out the back door. Not near a crossing, so no train horn, but still loud enough to wake you up if you are not used to it. We counted six trains the first night. If you are a railfan you will love it, because you get all kinds of freight trains and the Amtrak. The inside was well done (recent remodel) but the outside needs some TLC in terms of landscaping.
