Brand-new darling bungalow! Walking distance to downtown Grass Valley, across the street from Empire Mine State Park, an easy drive to the Yuba River, and center to all fun outdoor activities the Sierra Foothills offer! Open floor plan, high ceilings, uncluttered decor, and outdoor dining spaces. Park your Bike/kayak/paddleboard in side yard shared with caretaker. Learn to play Petanque on our court, a game one can play while holding a glass of wine... just saying ; )
The space
High ceilings with exposed beams, simple furnishings, and use of light colors give this one bedroom a lovely sense of space and openness. Even the shower was designed with airiness in mind. The seating area on the front deck looks out across the front of the property and into the State Park with its beautiful forest of pines. The Parks miles of hiking/biking trails are just a quick walk across the street. The kitchen is open to the seating area so the cook and crew never feel left out. The bedroom is large and super comfy, faces the back patio, and opens onto a small covered porch and patio space that offers outdoor dining and a pétanque court (French Bocci Ball ). There is a brand new, super clean, efficient and quiet full sized washer and dryer, complete with laundry detergent, in the laundry closet. AC/Heating is by two mini splits and ceiling fans help move the air...so comfy! Driveway easily accommodates 2 vehicles in case you have friends over. Downtown is an easy 15 min stroll away with its darling shops, dining, wine tasting, breweries, and the popular Center For the Arts.
Guest access
Guests have the whole house to themselves and also outdoor sitting/dining patio, pétanque court, and wide front porch and front yard. The caretakers tiny house is in the back and they are available to handle your questions, concerns, and requests if I am not immediately available.
Other things to note
Unauthorized pets will create an additional $100 cleaning fee. Of course licensed service dogs are welcome and without extra cleaning fee. Service dogs must accompany owners at all times and are not allowed, as per Airbnb guidelines, to be left alone.
Guests are responsible for stained bathroom and bedroom linens. Plenty of old towels will be available for cleaning up any unexpected messes.
