Enjoy our freshly renovated, climate controlled, treetop midcentury oasis centrally located in Downtown Grass Valley next to Highway 49. Every window is surrounded by views of tall pines, ivy, heritage trees and is a half mile walk to town or minutes drive to hiking trails and all the rich historic landmarks of Grass Valley, movie theaters, parks, restaurants & venues. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the treetops on your own private covered balcony & relax into this clean and uniquely decorated space.
At the Ivy we take cleanliness very seriously. The space is sparkling clean and we are taking extra covid-19 precautions and following strict cleaning protocols to ensure our guests safety!
The private unit is the bottom floor of a terraced duplex nestled in the hillside next to highway 49 about half a mile from Historic Downtown Grass Valley and half a mile from the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Due to its central and convenient location, there may be ambient road noise and we want our guests to know beforehand that it’s not a “secluded” retreat, that is the benefit of its location! The space was just completely renovated in 2021 & almost everything is brand new with the exception of the original 1960's cabinetry and doors that were refinished to keep some of the history of the home.
The living room is spacious and open and has a large flat screen smart TV and connects directly with the fully renovated kitchen with all stainless steel appliances and quartz counter tops.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, microwave, utensils, a variety of coffee devices and a reverse osmosis water purification system. There is also a cute, restored 1959 dinette set to add a little antique flair to the space.
Just outside the kitchen and living room is the private covered porch so you can relax and enjoy the treetop views. There are large windows surrounding the living room and kitchen so you can take in the views from inside as well.
The bathroom was recently redone and includes all the necessities for your convenience, including fresh towels, toiletries, magnifying mirror and hairdryer.
The hallway has an enclosed brand new full-sized stackable washer and dryer w/ an iron and ironing board and complimentary unscented detergents and dryer sheets so you can wash your linens There is also a broom closet with standard cleaning items (broom, mop, vacuum).
Adjacent to the hallway are the two guest bedrooms; the master has a queen beauty rest bed, (dimensions of mattress are 60’ x 80’) a smart TV, his/hers closets and storage dressers, and the spare bedroom has a walk-in closet, full-sized bed (dimensions of bed are 54’ x 75’) and historical photos.
There is ample free street parking and two designated parking spots for guests right by the home. One covered and one uncovered.
