Summary: You only have one chance to make a first impression,and the front desk staff failed miserably. You must wonder why you get offered a room that requires the longest walk from the elevator. I rejected this option and asked the individual to get an update from housekeeping. Now I was in luck as a room close to the elevator was available. I accepted the room and asked for our luggage to be sent to the room. The desk clerks began giggling and later I realized why. Yes our room was near the elevator but required walking up and down ten steps for two buildings to be connected. The room was small and sufficed for a one night stay. However the room was missing a desk or table to set up a laptop. The coffee machine was nice but the water bottle was non exixtant. The charged me $9.50 for a bottle of water...outrageous. Hotel.com asked if I was offered any perks based upon my status, sadly I was not. Breakfast was not included.
