Summary: This guest house was built on top of a tall garage that was not used during our 4 day stay. We felt that it was a very private location. The neighboring homes were near, but artfully hidden from each other. The steps up the the front door were quite steep, but they had a good tread and a railing. The house was very spacious for two people. The kitchen was well stocked, the furniture was comfortable and the windows let in a lot of sunlight. The location was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed the redwoods and seeing the historic city Eureka. We walked to the Farmstead cafe for breakfast and we highly recommend their waffles! There are two main reasons that I gave it four stars instead of five. One was the bug- ridden screens in the dining room and the other is the lack of dedicated drawers for the guests. I told the manager about these items and I have no doubt they will be easily improved to bring it to a five star rating.
