Positive: The apartment is located in a beautiful historic building. It's an industrial building from early 1900s, so has a beautiful brick exterior and huge original windows. The apartment is spacious, with high ceilings and lots of natural ligt. The territory of the complex is very clean, green, has lots of birds. Keep in mind that this is regular residential apartment complex. Not a hotel.  All the amenities like the pool, the gym, the parking are all located in different buildings around the complex.
Negative: The apartment really needs a deep cleaning. The visible surfaces are relatively clean. But all the furniture, floors, carpets, cabinets feel like they've collected all this dirt and dust over the years, that occasional wiping will not do the job. I didn't feel like touching some of the stuff because it felt dirty. Like the couch. I couldn't sit on it at all because of the smell of dust and dirt. You can see it changed the color from the dirt, has stains and smells. I believe it's beyond cleaning at this point and just needs to be replaced. The management was very responsive, but didn't really do anything. First day they sent me a huge letter about how important cleanliness was for them. They offered to send someone if we needed any touch ups. Since they offered, I requested a clean set of bedding, because it felt unfresh. They responded right away, saying it's not a problem and they will bring it the next day. Well, no one ever showed up. A couple days later they texted that they will stop by at 1pm to check some equipment. No one showed up. During a 10 day stay we never got (or were offered) any fresh bedding or even fresh towels. So we were using the same set of towels for over a week. Some kind of alarm on the wall went off and beeped every evening. Hopefully they can fix those issues, because the apartment has so much potential
