"What a little treasure for two, or even a quiet retreat for one! You never want to leave this little gem. It is a well-appointed, small, cozy space with lovely outdoor spots to see the sun come up for breakfast or sit and sip wine in the afternoon watching the sunset—comfy king bed, fireplace, and beaming with natural light. The owners have filled this spot with love inside and out; you feel it! Los Olivos is just a short drive, and groceries are a short walk. "Just voted the most charming small town in California." There is a beautiful winery across the vineyard; you can spot it from one of the beautiful windows. The winery is just a quick drive around the corner... a not to miss the place! Comfy bed, Auto-fireplace, and filled with natural light. If you find it booked, it might be us... we can't wait to go back! Our hosts were beyond lovely, and Journey is a treasure!!

I just wanted to thank you and Nancy for turning the carriage house into something we all can experience! What a treat in the morning to see the sunrise over the vineyard, the birds fluttering around your sweet garden and feeding on the seed sock hanging out the window. "Loved this beautiful place overlooking a vineyard. An artist's eye in the decor. Peaceful and relaxing space inside and out. The little touches, like lavender-smelling sheets and towels, made you feel like you were at a spa. Close to the downtowns of Solvang, Santa Ynez, and Los Olivos. Plenty of shops, restaurants, and wine-tasting rooms! Walking distance to a great walking/running path that goes for miles. Also, walking distance to an awesome grocery market, El Rancho, for amazing prepared foods, coffee, smoothies, and breakfast items already prepared, so there's no need to cook!! Best biking or walking nearby.
Drive out to Highway 246 and turn right. Go to the first stop light and turn right on Refugio Road. Drive about 2 miles. you will pass about three vineyards. The 1st is Braven and Maiden on your right.. Please call for an appointment and say your guests of the Chuda's. Ask for Leslee or Bailey, and they will confirm your reservation.. The second vineyard you will pass is Kalyra, which is mostly Australian varieties and not too expensive. Next on your right is Sunstone vineyard, just before you cross a bridge. They have wonderful red wines and a magnificent setting. You can go there for a tasting or bring a bag lunch and purchase wines by the glass. Next, go over the bridge for about 2mi you will pass beautiful old oaks. at the next bridge, keep going to the next one, then park off the road where you can. then walk for about a mile or more. There are seven bridges if you feel like going the entire way. This is truly the most beautiful scenic walk in the valley. You will experience the most famous ranches and see cattle and other wildlife; at one time, this land belonged to the famous movie star and cowboy, Jimmy Stewart.. On the way back, I suggest you go to Roblar vineyard 3mi to the north, then Bridlewood minutes away .bring picnic lunch in the park center of the horse track.
