Waterfront Cottage is outstanding fully detached 5 bedroom house, located in the lovely quiet village of Askham Richard. Just an 18 minute drive from York City Centre.
With secure driveway parking for at least 3 cars, and stunning views of a tranquil pond from the front door, this property really does bring the wow factor.
Arriving at the house, you can instantly feel how homely this property is, whilst offering high quality, modern interior throughout. The entrance to the driveway is via the back of the property, you drive up to electric gates controlled via a fob. The large driveway offers space for at least 3 cars.
Heading into the house via the main front door, you enter the grand hallway, and what a perfect place to start your stay. Leading on from the hallway, you can find multiple rooms.
One of which is the downstairs WC, with beautiful bold décor. A further room leading from the hallway is the Study. Providing desk space and a double sofa bed to sleep 2 guests.
Next door, you will find a large modern kitchen. Fitted with the highest quality appliances, including a full fridge, freezer, double oven, induction hob, washing machine, separate dryer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. All your pots and pans, cutlery and crockery is provided to cook a basic meal. There is breakfast bar seating for up to 4 guests in the kitchen also.
The final room of the house downstairs, is the spacious open plan living and dining space. The living area offers comfortable corner seating, a large flat screen smart Tv. Stunning decor throughout.
Leading onto the dining area, a large dining table seating 8 guests, the perfect spot to enjoy a home cooked meal with patio doors offering bright garden views.
Upstairs, the house consists of 4 bedrooms. One of which offers built in wardrobes and dressing table. A super king bed and a large flat screen smart Tv. You can also find an ensuite bathroom with built in bath and detachable shower head.
The second bedroom offers a double bed, also with a smart flat screen Tv, and an ensuite walk in shower room.
The final two bedrooms offer standard double beds, each with flat screen smart TV's.
The main family bathroom has a free standing bath with detachable shower head also.
Each of the bedrooms offer comfortable luxury beds and mattress' with hotel quality bed linen and towels provided for your use.
There is also a small walk in wardrobe room for your use, with hanging space.
Throughout the house, the luxury style and highest quality furnishings and decor is extremely apparent, this style continues into the decked garden area where you can find a Canadian spa hot tub in an enclosed glass area, with ambient lighting providing the perfect space to relax. There is also rattan garden furniture with a patio heater and BBQ provided for your use. This makes the perfect entertaining area for any type of group stay.
You will notice a garage at the property, recently converted into a home gym, this equipment is available for you to use freely throughout your stay.
Askham Richard, just 7.5 miles from York City Centre, is a calm sought after village, neighbouring Askham Bryan and Bilbrough. Just an 8 minute drive from a Tesco Supermarket. This stunning property is easily accessible and away from all the hustle and bustle.
This beautiful house really exceeds expectations, with picture perfect views, plenty of space, ample parking, sleeping space for 10 guests and a hot tub, there is not really much more you could ask for when looking for a place to stay close to York, providing all your home from home comforts, and so much more!
Better yet, this home welcomes your furry friends to join you for your trip. For a small extra fee of £30 per dog. A maximum of 2 medium sized dogs are very welcomed.
Free WIFI is provided throughout your stay, alongside hair drying and ironing facilities. The house is a luxury self-catering apartment, therefor you will need to bring along any food, toiletries etc you require, however we do provide basics for your arrival such as limited amounts of toilet roll, tea, coffee, sugar, handwash, washing up liquid, washing machine tablets and dishwasher tablets etc and basic cleaning products.
