Here you’ve got plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy within walking distance and you’re just a short drive from the Lake District, golf courses, beaches and plenty of attractions. There’s a great selection of pubs nearby, and Friday and Saturday nights can be a bit noisy with loud music from the local bars, so if nightlife isn’t your thing, this probably isn’t the place for you. On the other hand, if you want to join in with the fun, you’ve not got far to go for a few drinks and a dance. Sunday to Thursday is quieter if you just want to relax and unwind.

One of the most scenic areas of the Lake District is the drive via Loweswater, Crummock and Buttermere over the Honister Pass around the side of Derwentwater to Keswick, so if you like natural beauty and sightseeing, this is one not to be missed.
