Seaside Escape, located in South Ponte Beach FL is right below Jacksonville, FL. and a short drive to historic St Augustine Florida, the oldest city in the USA.
This traditional beach house nestled on a high beach dune is awaiting your arrival. With only a few neighbors nearby, you really get to enjoy your privacy. It's like having your own piece of the beach. The views from sitting high up on the dunes are stunning! As you enter this truly beachy home, walk upstairs to the main living area. This large open floor plan is perfect for the family to enjoy conversation, each other, and the spectacular views of the Atlantic.
The living room/dining room hosts large windows and sliding glass doors that lead to the spacious deck. The ocean front deck runs the length of this vacation home, with a large (144 SF) landing and a walkway down to the beach. There is a shower on the landing to rinse off before going back inside. Enjoy the round 4-seat dining table with umbrella, or the many loungers and chairs. Enjoy your morning coffee while looking for the playful dolphins or watch the sunset with a fruity drink.
The living room allows the family comfortable seating while listening to music on the entertainment center and enjoying the stone fireplace. Disclaimer: the fireplace is only for looks as it does not work.
The dining room has a large table to enjoy the views while enjoying your meals cooked in our fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy the standard appliances in addition to some convenient extras such as a waffle maker for breakfast or set it and forget it in the crockpot while you enjoy the beach. Use the foil or plastic wrap for any leftovers! Keep your drinks cold and the cooler full with a built in ice machine next to the refrigerator. You can enjoy these meals not only in the dining room but the at the bar with stools for seating or the cozy two-person table next to the kitchen.
The master en-suite with a king size bed calls you for a deep and relaxing sleep. The sliding glass doors not only allow you access to the deck but lets you wake up to the beautiful Florida sunshine. The master bathroom has a shower/tub combination and a single sink.
The second bedroom is perfect for the kids with two twin size beds and sliding glass doors that lead out to the deck. Next to the bedroom is the hallway bathroom for them to use.
We did say this was a 3 bedroom home…. The private 3rd bedroom is downstairs and across the garage. This is perfect for another couple or the teenagers that do not want to be around the adults. The queen size bed and the futon allow up to 3 guests to enjoy the bedroom and a full bathroom. There is also a wall mounted flat screen TV.
The washer and dryer are located off the dining room and next to kitchen.

Disclosure 1
Bedroom Number 3 (Queen bed and futon) This bedroom is downstairs, separate from the "main" living area of the home. The main living area, BR #1 and BR #2 are all upstairs, however the third bedroom is downstairs. BR 3 ingress and egress is downstairs to foyer, then across the garage to a private bedroom (and full bathroom). You do NOT have to go outside to enter or exit this bedroom/bathroom. However, here is also a door to the outside via a door on the south side of the home.

Any beach toys, including boogie boards, are considered to be dangerous and guests may use them at their own risk. The guests understands that the owners and management company are NOT liable for the use of beach toys .

Guest Access:
Seaside Escape is a single family oceanfront home, you rent the entire home. You share with no one, other than your group (family/friends). The owner has 3 locked closets downstairs, one in the foyer and two closets off the garage.
The Neighborhood:
This house is situated on a 17 mile stretch of A1A (South Ponte Vedra Blvd) along the ocean coast. It is just below Jacksonville, FL where you can explore Jax Beach and other spots in Jacksonville. 10 minutes south of Ponte Vedra you'll find the heart of St Augustine, the oldest city in the US where you can tour the original 400+ year old fort, take a horse and carriage tour, or check out the shops on famous St. George Street. St. Augustine offers restaurants from family style on a pier to gourmet restaurants. There's plenty of family fun sightseeing, dining, shopping and recreation!
At the same time you are about 5 minutes from the center of Ponte Vedra (an upscale area) with top golf courses (TPC at Sawgrass) and fine dining options such as Ruth`s Chris, Caps on the Water, Aunt Kates, The Reef and other fine eateries.
Getting Around:
There is NO public transit at Seaside Escape. This part of FL State Road A1A is a 17 mile stretch of road parallel to the beach, with beach homes on one side and a Federal Nature Preserve on the west side. The home has plenty of parking. We recommend renting a car for transportation.

Seaside Escape "feels" (there are no private beaches in Florida) very private with very few neighbors and only one business, a convenience / gas store about 8 miles south of you. YET under 15 minutes drive to restaurants and grocery shopping. The best of both worlds!
Interaction with Guests:
We are always available if and when a guest needs us. We make it easy and safe, using a unique lock code with the guests chooses for the electronic door lock. We don`t require that you stop by our office or make you meet us at the home for access. We LOVE our guests and we are there IF needed, otherwise it`s your vacation and we stay out of your way.
