Positive: Overall, the property was well maintained and suited my family very well. It was very clean, and the neighborhood was quiet and quaint. We really enjoyed the space and the number of guest rooms, although we didn't use all of them. My wife and I grew up in Silver Spring, not very far from this property, but we've lived in Dallas, TX for 30 years. It was my 60th birthday weekend and we attended a Washington Commanders game on Sunday. We had a small gathering at the house on Saturday and every one of our guests commented on how nice the home was. We will for sure consider this our home away from home whenever we visit the area again.
Negative: What could have been better would have been to more access to televisions/cable TV. Some of our older guests retired early to their rooms and were looking for a TV to watch. The kitchen sink malfunctioned on the first morning, but somehow that worked itself out. The lights in the downstairs family room just stopped working on the third day of our visit during our small get together. We tried everything but couldn't get those lights to turn on. We had to bring down lamps from other rooms in order to have lighting down there. Last, there was a chair in the kitchen that was broken but seemed to be put back together. We had someone sit on it the first day and they fell to the floor. We put the chair back together and moved it to the hall closet in the entry.
Summary: My family and our local guest really enjoyed the property. We would absolutely stay there again!
