Immersa nel verde di un bosco di querce e lecci, la Casa del Bosco si trova a soli 2,5 km dal borgo di Monticchiello, piccolo paese medioevale di 200 persone immerso nella Val d'Orcia Patrimonio Unesco dal 2004. In un luogo tranquillo in mezzo alla natura, la dimora si affaccia su Montepulciano, che la notte prende le sembianze di un piccolo presepe, e sulla Val di Chiana.
La Casa del Bosco è una residenza di circa 130 mq completamente ristrutturata da un vecchio casolare in stile rustico con travi, mezzane, pavimenti in cotto e mobili di stile. La struttura sarà riservata ad 1 sola prenotazione,così da garantire relax ai nostri ospiti.
La struttura è tutta su un piano ed è composta da un'ampia cucina con piani in cotto, 2 lavandini dei quali uno molto ampio posizionato all'interno di un arco e uno più piccolo vicino ai fornelli a gas. La cucina dispone di un grande forno con possibilità di inserire lo spiedo, fornelli a gas a 6 fuochi, forno microonde, frigorifero con congelatore, macchina per caffè espresso e vaporiera ottima per cucinare cibi velocemente. Subito adiacente si trova il salotto con un grande camino che durante le serate più fredde può essere acceso creando armonia e calore, assaporando un buon bicchiere di vino sul comodo divano in muratura rifinito con un trave in quercia. Sul focolare è possibile cucinare cibi alla brace. Fa parte della zona giorno anche un bagno con due graziosi lavandini in ceramica dipinta a mano, appoggiati su una vecchia porta. Da qui inizia, passando per un corridoio composto da tre archi in mattoni antichi, la zona notte: una camera matrimoniale con ampio bagno interno che dispone sia di doccia che di vasca sotto un bellissimo soffitto a volta in mattoni, una camera tripla (letto matrimoniale e letto singolo) con bagno con doccia, uno studio con letto da una piazza e mezzo nel quale è possibile aggiungere una rete singola e dal quale si accede ad un spaziosa e ben organizzata cabina armadio. Le due camere da letto hanno la porta finestra che dà sul giardino. Per ultima, alla fine della struttura, si trova la lavanderia con lavello e lavatrice.
Questa casa è stata costruita e ristrutturata interamente dal proprietario; è curata nei minimi particolari e l'estro, la bravura e la creatività hanno un grande riscontro in tutti gli ambienti sia interni che esterni. Alessandro e Giulia (il proprietario e la compagna) la hanno arredata per renderla accogliente ed elegante, divertendosi ad usare materiali di recupero per ideare gran la parte dell'arredamento, a partire dai lampadari realizzati da tegole e mattoni, agli sportelli e porte della cucina provenienti da vecchie finestre, alle mensole ricavate da vecchie mangiatoie.
SPAZI ESTERNI
Sia dalla cucina che dalle camere da letto è possibile uscire direttamente sul prato posto sul retro della Casa del Bosco, contornato da rose e piante mediterranee, e sul terrazzo dove si trova un tavolo costruito con un tronco di quercia e panche. Lo spazio è dotato anche di ombrellone in modo da poter essere sfruttato anche nelle ore più calde della giornata: è un ottimo punto panoramico dal quale godere uno splendido paesaggio mentre si consumano pasti e colazioni. Visibile dalle camere e dal giardino è anche il laghetto privato che in alcuni periodi ospita aironi, libellule e pesci. Dall' altra parte invece, la strada del bosco ricca di vari tipi di vegetazione come sottobosco, funghi, querce e lecci.
