Summary: It was a very nice stay until it wasn’t. We enjoyed pickleball and a lovely swim. Nice dinner at Gnar Tacos. Room 324 is a nicely decorated room with exposed large log supports and a lovely bed. However, we awoke in the middle of the night to a high pitched buzzing. We figured out it was the mini fridge. Unplugged and problem solved. Until it wasn’t. Later in the night and throughout the early morning a noisy machine kept starting up right beneath our room. The windows were open to enjoy the cool mountain air, so we closed them. Unfortunately it helped a bit but it was still quite loud, although relatively short. Hard to sleep well with a loud machine (on-demand water heater?) turning on repeatedly below us. Having paid almost $400 for the room, it was a sad disappointment for what was meant to be a healing trip after visiting our cabin that burned down in the Deer Creek fire in Old La Sal in Utah to meet with our insurance agent. The Front Desk seemed surprised to hear about the noise at check out the next morning, but kinda hard to imagine that they were totally unaware of such noise. A sad disappointing stay that wasn’t the restorative experience we had hoped for when booking.
