There are nearby hiking trails, places of interest, boating, fishing, and historical sites. This is a great base from which to explore the Quaint Towns on Kitsap Peninsula and Olympic Peninsula and the Olympic Mountains and Rain Forest.

This location is only 20 minutes drive into either Bremerton or Silverdale on picturesque country roads without highway traffic tie ups.
