Monasterio Hostel is a 1920's Spanish colonial architectural building, where the Barefoot Carmelite Nuns worked for many years upon arrival to the city of Cartagena. At that time Torices was an area close to the historic center that was just beginning to grow. The Carmelites then moved to Turbaco because the church started to forbid nuns to have contact with the outside world. After that, the house was then used for educational and cultural institutions. Since then, we have recently remodeled it for a hostel to preserve its history and harmony with the neighbourhood.
Monasterio Hostel is situated in Torices, a few minutes from the historic center, beaches of Marbella, historical monuments, Rafael Núñez International Airport and shopping centers.
When you arrive you will enter opening the exterior bars, then when you go to the main entrance you will find a bell in the upper right, at the sound of the bell, our receptionist will receive you, he will make you the proper registration on your reservation and then will take you to your accommodation, while showing you the facilities you can have at your disposal while you enjoy your stay. A beautiful and colorful place focused on a foreign atmosphere and a colonial touch, very warm and cozy that will make you feel in a magical world. Cultural diversity will be provided in our alma mater. Our receptionist will tell you about the most attractive places where you can find a multicultural diversity.
Our guests will feel at home at Monasterio Hostel, as they can make use of the fully equipped kitchen, outdoor terrace, garden, reading area and a cafe where they can meet people and exchange travel advice.
