Now for a description of our beautiful Santa Fe home:
One of the iconic “walled” pueblo revival homes in the historic eastside on a coveted street, this cubist masterpiece was originally built in the 1920s by renowned artist, Andrew Dasburg. Lovingly restored a few years ago, it combines masterfully updated modernist lines with high-end finishes. Spacious and light, this exquisite home is listed on the National Registry and features thick adobe whitewashed walls, historic beams and flooring, along with contemporary and vintage furnishings, mid-century Navajo weavings and discerning art. With fully outfitted kitchens in the main house and casita, you may enjoy dining in the formal dining room, in the breakfast nook, or al fresco. Surrounded by heritage gardens, fruit trees, multiple patios and decks, the compound is comprised of a third of an acre with multiple seating areas. Located three blocks from the prime area of Canyon road, it is a short walk to incredible restaurants and galleries, and a leisurely stroll to the plaza.
The main level of the home features the master bedroom suite with a king bed and sumptuous bathroom with oversized tub, shower, sauna, and walk-in closet. A guest room is nearby with a queen bed and a separate bathroom. There are two living areas on this level and a formal dining room with seating for eight and doors opening up to a deck. The modern kitchen is bright and well-designed with a Sub Zero refrigerator, Wolf range, hand-carved cabinetry, breakfast nook, and a small patio. The lower level features a dramatic library with floor to ceiling windows and opens to a tranquil garden with an antique fountain and mature trees. An additional guest suite offers privacy with a bedroom with two twin beds, bathroom, kitchenette, and a sitting area leading to a large garden with a lawn, fruit trees, and indigenous plantings. Also located within the compound is a casita (guest house) with a separate bedroom, sitting area, bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen, echoing the light, elegance, and privacy of the main house.
This compound is secluded and peaceful yet centrally located to Canyon Road, Museum Hill, the Plaza, fabulous hiking and mountain biking, and a short drive to the ski slopes, spas, and all that Santa Fe has to offer.
** Please note there is air conditioning in the master bedroom and the casita only. The other rooms have fans.
