Summary: Exellent resort right on the lake/dam side. We really enjoyed to chill out here for a 2 days break during our motorcycle ride in Sri lanka. Staff and and food were top notch. The resort offer a complimentary boat trip on the lake in the morning. The area is very peaceful as no boats with engines are allowed. The water is very clean and we saw no plastic or rubbish. The locals fish from small boats and from the shore. We saw many birds such as king fisher, white ibis and comorants on stilts with their wings spread out for drying in the sun. We had a room with a big balcony facing the dam and with a view towards the mountains in the horizon. I would recommend the rooms facing the lake for the fantastic view from the big balcony. The infinity edge pool got one of the best views you can imagine. From the pool we could see the lake surrounded by forrest and the montains in the background. The resort offers a trip to a national park in the area with many wild elephants and other wild life but unfortunately we were not able to join this because of our schedule. Exellent breakfast with choice of sri lankan and western dishes. One day we had a la carte breakfast and the 2nd day it was a buffet.
