In front of the dike begins the nature reserve Katinger Watt, a recreational area on the former seabed for walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, swimming and surfing invites. The house is located about 50m next to the well-known and oldest tavern Wilhelm Andresen. The thatched cottage is about 320 years old.
