Summary: Only a few miles from El Valle, this property has been designed and planted for birdwatchers. Marcela and Aldofo were so friendly and hospitable. They both speak perfect English and have poured their heart and soul into making the property attractive and comfortable. A dozen eggs from their chickens was welcoming gift. The home is very clean - the kitchen was spotless and well equipped. Your hosts live a short distance away and are always ready to help if needed but will not bother you if you want to be left alone. Yes, this time of year can be windy but it’s windy all over the country so don’t be dissuaded by that. We saw about 40-50 different birds during our 7 day stay. This time of year - the dry season - when the gardener would set the sprinkler on the grounds in the late afternoon, the birds just went nuts romping through the bushes getting wet. We were there during Carnival and there was some distant noise but not too bad. Town is close enough to visit multiple times a day if needed for fresh fruits and vegetables. Our thanks to our hosts who were both a wealth of information about Panamá and the región. They exhibited the wonderful warmth and friendly nature of Panamanians that we’ve come to love.
