Summary: This is my third VRBO stay. Check-in and check-out procedures were clear. The cabin was immaculately clean. Beds were comfortable. Sheets completely clean. Location was quiet (although not far out in the country). However, there were some big problems. The biggest was that although the property is advertised as having airconditioners in every room, the units in 2 of the three bedrooms were inadequate. These 2 rooms were furnished with portable upright AC units whose exhaust ducts went out the window. In both cases, the exhaust hoses were not secured with hose clamps at the window and the hot AC exhaust ended up coming back into the room. So neither of these were effectively cooled. We only figured out what was the problem at the end of our stay and could not contact the property manager. The exhaust ducts themselves were uninsulated dryer hoses which got very hot. The windows on these bedrooms did not have screens so we could not open them for cool night air. Also the portable units are very noisy. Second, the bathrooms began stinking as the week went on either due to sewage back up or poor venting. Finally the front door lock fit poorly and we could hardly enter. The guys had to slam into the door to get it to open. This was the normal doorknob mechanism, not the security lock (which worked fine). For these reasons I have to downgrade my rating to four stars.
