Positive: We loved this house. We would totally stay here again! Imagine this: a large 1940s cabin. Whoever lived here were educated, cultured people. They have since passed on, and the house has been left to and has remained in the family, who pretty much left everything as-is. They’ve opened it for others to use. If you are someone who likes browsing antiques/collectibles stores, and you can handle stairs, you will enjoy this time-capsule home. There is one full bathroom downstairs, and a bathroom with a bathtub upstairs. I suggest you arrive during the day. For nighttime arrival, have flashlights/headlamps handy. The beach on the property makes for outstanding swimming. The beach is on the popular float stretch from Steelhead to Sunset beach. Instead of going all the way to Sunset Beach, you can take the long relaxing float and end it right at the House. (Look for the pirate flag on the beach.)
Negative: When we were there (July ‘24) the hot tub was out of order. There was no plug/cover for the upstairs bathtub drain. There were 2 A/C wall-units downstairs, but I saw none upstairs. Opening windows at night cooled the upstairs.
