The small, modest village Prinos is well away from touristic hotspots, approx. 2km further inland and 14 km east of Rethimno. It is a typical Cretan village with traditional houses and small alleys set in a quiet and romantic surrounding with olive groves and vine yards. The villa Elya with pool is located on a large, enclosed and well-maintained garden property in the beautiful and quiet atmosphere of the village. The nearby town of Rethimno with its extensive promenade is ideal for a stroll. The small, picturesque Venetian harbour with its row upon row of tavernas and small boats is, if a little touristy, very atmospheric and enchanting. The pedestrian zone in the old town centre with its pretty narrow streets and traditional old houses is ideal for shopping and chic nights out. The 10 kilometres of sandy beaches that stretch along this stretch of coast from Rethimno to the north-east offer plenty of choice, with beach bars and natural beaches.
