The lovely town beach on Lake Garfield is a 3-minute drive away. And folks tell us the bed has the most comfortable queen mattress! Across the road, there is, in fact, a beaver lodge! Summary: This was our second stay at the Beaver Lodge, and we can’t say enough positive about this clean, cozy, well stocked getaway in the Berkshires. Joel was a very accommodating and attentive host, quick to respond to requests, and he made sure we were well taken care, especially when a large snowstorm blanketed the area. Kitchen and bathroom are modern and super clean, allowing us to prepare some fabulous meals over the course of the weekend. The backyard is fenced in, so our dog could run off leash. And the property is ideally situated, very much off the beaten path, but still close to all the modern conveniences of Greet Barrington (Guidos market!), the Norman Rockwell Museum (incredible!), and lots of walks and hiking trails. Can’t recommend it enough.
