Nothing beats enjoying the view of converging waterways while you’re floating in your own heated pool. This 2,000 square foot house sleeps six, with one king bed, two queens and two bathrooms. The street is named Edgewater for good reason. You’re not near the water, you’re on it, with nothing between you and the still turquoise canal but a few palm trees and birds swooping down in search of fish. You’re so close to the shore you can hear the water lapping against your private dock, which you can use to tie up your boat or as a front row seat when the setting sun paints the sky orange.
The only other sounds that break the stillness of the spacious lanai are splashing in the pool and burgers sizzling on the gas grill. The family-sized table on the shaded area of the lanai, beneath an overhead fan, makes the ideal setting for your poolside lunch and maybe dinner, too, since, the southwestern exposure means you’ve got a full day’s worth of sun on the pool.
Arched windows fill the spacious, elegantly furnished interior with natural light, and two full-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows give you a panoramic view of the lanai and waterways. Plenty of lush plants add a tropical accent. The dining room table is lit up by a chandelier and natural light through the French doors. The kitchen, overlooking the lanai, features plenty of counter space and modern appliances that make cooking a pleasure, whether you’re preparing a special family dinner or a tray of drinks for sunset watching on the lanai.
The master suite offers the same impressive view, along solid wood bedroom furniture and an ensuite bathroom that features a walk-in shower and bathtub. The house is filled with comfort-enhancing amenities, like air conditioning and heating, ceiling fans and a washer and dryer.
