You can take 5 minutes short walk to access the park and enjoy more than 10 miles of historical beautiful federal civil war park paths for biking or walking. Or you can just stay in the house and relax with the tranquility hearing bird songs, doing some outdoor cooking on the seasonal pool deck, relax in the sauna, and/or take a leisurely walk around the house on the circular drive way. Or you can visit charming historical Fredericksburg downtown, very walkable, filled with restaurants and shops, George Washington boyhood home, Kenmore (George Washington sister home), and/or Rappahannock river walking path. They are only 15 minutes’ drive away. One can enjoy commuter train day-trip to Washington DC. The train station is only 10 minutes away.
