We are extremely grateful to share our Mountain Lodge with you, your family and friends. This is a newer home (2015) and offers comfort, space and seclusion with unbelievable views. Our continued focus on providing a super clean, welcoming, and comfortable home will greet you as you walk in the front door. Breathe in as you bask in the un-paralleled Columbine Lake and Mount Craig (Mount Baldy) views out our panoramic windows, as you walk up the stairs into our expansive, open concept great room. Vaulted ceilings, tall windows and natural light beaming the sparkling sun of the Rocky Mountains will warm your heart. Enjoy your coffee while taking in the views of the lake and the Continental Divide from the comfort of our living area that has ample comfortable seating. Take a step out onto the large deck to feel that clean mountain air touching your spirit and connecting you with our beautiful Colorado Mountains. Moose, deer, fox and elk regularly wander through the neighborhood and our yard. As you gaze at the sparkling water of the local lake, let your mind travel to another universe.
Our home offers an expansive kitchen with a double gas range/oven and TWO islands for serving your family during all special occasions. Create family memories having meals together or playing games at the dining table that seats up to 12. Move your party to the spacious deck and take in the incredible sunrise or reverse sunset on the Continental Divide. Barbecue your favorite meal on the propane gas grill while eagles hover over the pines, aspen and shimmering lake.
The kitchen is fully equipped to offer you and your entire group everything you need to prepare your family meal and still take in the view.
On a cool night, enjoy the gas living room fireplace and the serene quiet or starry skies. If you still desire a connection with the entertainment world, check out the new LG 65” LED smart TV. Enjoy up to 400 mgb of free secure internet access. Bring your logins for your favorite streaming channels such as HBOmax, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime to connect with your favorite shows. We do provide a basic xfinity package with only Local channels. There are smart TV’s, or Roku in every bedroom.
Sleep up to 12 in our cozy, spacious 4 bedrooms with 2 and ½ baths. 3 of the bedrooms are on the lower level, with the master on the main floor. The Master Suite has it's own entry to the back deck, which allows for the cool mountain air to sweep you as you wake up to chirping birds. A king size bed, luxury bathroom, and it's own sitting area for comfort. Downstairs have 3 very comfortable bedrooms with lots of space. Two of the lower level bedrooms (the cowboy room and the moose room) have queen size beds. The bunk room is perfect for kids or adults, with plenty of sleeping space with 2 full bunk beds (single over single, and a single over full) and room to play games and watch movies.
If you must do some work, the office area is equipped with an expansive desk space adjunct to the master with WI-FI, monitor, printer/scanner and privacy.
If you can pry yourself away from our family lodge, you are within minutes of the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance, as well as the Arapahoe National Forest System with miles of hiking, biking, or snowshoeing in the winter. Historic Grand Lake shops, bars and restaurants are all within a couple of minutes. Wander the strip or take your fishing gear and fetch your dinner in the glacier formed Grand Lake. Boating, snowmobiling, tubing, golfing, snowshoeing, skiing, hiking, biking … all here… Nature has provided serenity in this unbelievable back drop of peacefulness. Within 2 minutes of our Lodge is the Grand Lake Golf Course which converts to the Nordic Center and tubing hill in the winter. Winding River Resort is nearby as well, which offers horseback, sleigh and pony trail rides, as well as cowboy cookouts and breakfasts. There is also an ATV/Snowmobile outfitter right inside the National Park or Grand Lake itself. In town, visit the shops and restaurants or take in a musical at the Rocky Mountain Repertoire Theater (summer months mostly). Rent watercraft, anything from paddle boards to pontoons and get out on the chain of Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake and Lake Granby. Take a walk around the local community lake (*Columbine Lake) right at the property.
Please note that amenities and use of Columbine Lake are not available to renters, but the view of it comes with the lodge, and the paths and trails outside our door are there for you to explore. Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake and Lake Granby are all within minutes for your enjoyment.

*Columbine Lake is a quiet, private, covenant-controlled community. Renters are not allowed to use the clubhouse, gazebo, horse pasture, OHVs or Columbine Lake. We do not allow for storage of snowmobiles on our property or driveway.
There is no inside storage available for bikes, skis, or recreational equipment. There is significant space available under the decks for sporting equipment storage. Please let us know if you have additional storage needs.
NOTE: THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE! You will be responsible for any fines or penalties assessed by the HOA and/or Grand County.
