Welcome to this quaint, traditional cottage located in the heart of the fantastic Valdres landscape. Here the view over the lake Vangsmjøsa and the mountain Grindane will inspire your thoughts. The cottage is located about 30 km from the village of Tyin, which offers great hiking opportunities in summer and winter. There are many marked hiking trails in the local mountains; we recommend a hike to the mountains Grindane and Gaupekollen. The exciting Kongeveien (King's Road), the former main road between Oslo and Bergen, starts right in front of the cottage. Here you live only 200 meters from the lake Vangsmjøsa, which offers good fishing opportunities; there are trout with an average weight of 1.5 kg. There is a rowing boat available from June to August. About 50 km away you will find the cozy destination Fagernes with exciting local dishes such as rakfisk and cheese.
