Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Location was great. Right next to my son's camp and we took advantage of the Quechee club amenities. Should be underscored that all access is pay-to-play.
Negative: Kitchen was not well outfitted - no tea kettle and zero frying pans that were clean/usable. All non-stick pans were very old and surfaces all scratched up which is not safe for non-stick pans. There was a strange smell when we came in it was really strong but we got used to it - smelled like cigarette smoke or similar. Maybe new carpeting? Strongest in the front entryway and the "kids" bedroom. The front door code was really difficult. We had a lot of trouble (myself and my son) using it; it kept beeping at us and locking us out even when we were entering the correct numbers. The outside was pretty unkempt - pine needles everywhere that we kept tracking in to the house and the window sills in the upstairs bedroom were filled with pine needles. I know that it's that time of year but a quick sweep would have made it feel more tidy and ready for guests. The stove is very inconsistent. I tried to heat up water for tea in a small saucepan on the stovetop and it would turn on, go off, turn back on and took about 5 minutes to boil a cup of water. I have an induction stove at home so I am familiar with how to use a glass cooktop but this one seemed like it was on the fritz. There were no instructions on anything except the door lock and the a/c units. Would have been helpful to have more of a guide book for the house - where things are, etc. The "change filter" light was blinking for the water on the refrigerator which didn't give much confidence in how clean the drinking water was. Some sort of a standing wardrobe in the "primary" bathroom would have been useful. I brought only dresses to wear and grabbed some "childrens" hangers from the kids room and hung them on various places in my bedroom.
Summary: Convenient location but needs better attention to the unit -cleanliness and practical amenities.
